Our Impact

“WGNRR is a unique Ministry committed to serve mankind irrespective of gender, color, social background, to eradicate human suffering. Restores hope, joy, dignity. We the rural communities treasure the Big Heart of WGNRR we thank you for always being there for us. God Bless you all”.
Over the past 30 years, WGNRR has become an institutional movement lending an important feminist perspective to international conferences like the 1994 Cairo International Conference on Population and Development and the 1995 Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women. WGNRR combined analysis and protest against abusive population control policies and practices by emphasising the creation of enabling conditions for women to make decisions about their own bodies and lives, and to have access to the means to do so.
WGNRR’s unique global position and our ability to tap into our members knowledge and skills is widely recognised, resulting in our increasing participation in global advocacy spaces and our widening reach to grassroots SRHR organizations. Members continually highlight our capacity to bring partners together from across the globe to build skills, exchange information, and experience professional and personal development.
WGNRR has been able to flourish because of its values, structure, and persistence in supporting radical and controversial issues to the benefit of its Southern membership. We provide a unique, precious and important space in a context of rising conservatism. As such it needs to be protected, nurtured and supported for the work that it does in the struggle to advance and protect sexual and reproductive justice globally. The inspiration, development, progress, and present form of WGNRR affords the organization an identity as a global player engaging in a multiplicity of movements, as well as a viable grassroots driven network and polyversal feminist organization.
